My Words — AAC Communication App
My Words does not collect, store, or share any personal information. Your privacy is fully protected.
My Words ("the App") is an Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) app developed by James Baker. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information when you use it on your iPhone or iPad.
My Words does not collect any of the following:
When you choose to add a custom picture to a communication button, the App requests access to your photo library. Photos you select are stored locally on your device only in the App's private storage. They are never uploaded, shared, or transmitted anywhere.
When a button is tapped, the App sends the button's text label to a third-party AI text-to-speech provider to generate speech audio. The following applies:
Please refer to the privacy policies of these providers for information about how they handle API requests:
All App data — including your custom buttons, photos, and settings — is stored exclusively on your device using iOS standard local storage. Nothing is stored in the cloud or on external servers by the App.
My Words is designed to be used by and on behalf of non-verbal individuals, including children. The App does not knowingly collect any information from users of any age. Because no personal data is collected at all, the App is safe for use by children under the supervision of a parent, caregiver, or therapist.
The App contains no advertising, no tracking SDKs, and no analytics frameworks. It does not participate in any ad networks.
If this Privacy Policy is updated, the new version will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date. Significant changes will also be noted in the App Store release notes.
