Overview

DashSaver ("the App") is a free Roku channel developed by James Baker that displays live clocks, 3-day weather forecasts, and real-time stock quotes on your TV. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information when you use it.

Data We Fetch

To display live information, DashSaver makes network requests to third-party data services. These requests contain no personal information — only the city name or stock symbol you have configured:

• Weather data: City names you configure are sent to a weather API to retrieve forecast information. No location tracking or GPS data is used.
• Stock data: Ticker symbols you configure are sent to a financial data API to retrieve current prices and change values.

These requests are anonymous and are not linked to any account, name, device identifier, or persistent user profile.

Local Settings Storage

Your preferences — including clock cities, time zones, weather cities, and stock symbols — are stored locally on your Roku device using the Roku Registry. This data:

• Never leaves your Roku device
• Is not transmitted to any server
• Persists across app restarts automatically
• Can be cleared by uninstalling the channel

Data We Do NOT Collect

DashSaver does not collect any of the following:

• Names, email addresses, or account information
• IP addresses or device identifiers
• Location or GPS data
• Usage analytics or crash reports
• Viewing habits or behavioral data

Advertising and Tracking

DashSaver contains no advertising, no tracking SDKs, and no analytics frameworks. It does not participate in any ad networks and displays no ads of any kind.

Children's Privacy

DashSaver is not directed at children under the age of 13. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

If this Privacy Policy is updated, the new version will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date. Significant changes will also be noted in the Roku Channel Store update notes.
