Device Inspector shows you your own device's data, on your own screen. We don't collect it, store it, or send it anywhere — with one exception described below.
Device Inspector reads your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), App Tracking Transparency status, device model and OS details, screen metrics, locale, network interface info, carrier details, battery and thermal state, and similar configuration values. All of this is read directly from iOS on your device and displayed to you. None of it is transmitted to us, stored by us, or shared with anyone by us.
The app uses Firebase Analytics to log anonymous usage events — for example, that a row was copied, that the IDFA was copied, or that the ATT permission prompt was shown and how you responded. These events describe that an action happened, never the data involved: your actual IDFA value, device identifiers, or any of the readings shown on screen are never included in an analytics event. This data goes to Google/Firebase and is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
Device Inspector is free and supported by a banner ad from Google AdMob. To show ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and use device identifiers and advertising data, consistent with the permission you grant at the App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can change tracking permission anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos, or any of the identifier values the app displays. We operate no backend server for this app and have no account system.
Device Inspector is a technical utility, not directed at children.
