Puzzles with CB

Stuck on something? The answers below cover most questions. If yours isn't here, email us and we'll normally reply within 1–2 business days.

Playing a puzzle

How do I start?

Tap any picture on the main screen. Choose how many pieces you want (12 up to 300) and pick a level, then tap Start Puzzle. The suggested piece count is the one that keeps pieces a comfortable size on your device.

How do I place a piece?

Drag it onto the board. When it is close enough to where it belongs it snaps into place with a small vibration and stays put. Pieces already placed sit under the loose ones, so you can keep dragging over the top of them.

What do the three levels mean?

Easy shows the finished picture faintly on the board to guide you. Medium keeps that guide, but every piece starts turned — tap a piece to turn it a quarter turn until it is upright, or it will not fit. Advanced gives you a blank board and turned pieces.

I forgot what the picture looks like.

Tap the small picture at the top of the screen. A larger copy appears over the board for as long as you need it — tap anywhere to go back to playing.

Getting unstuck

Can the app finish a puzzle for me?

Yes. Tap Finish it at the top of the screen and the pieces walk themselves into place one at a time. Tap Stop at any point to take over again — everything already placed stays where it is. The fast-forward button speeds the whole thing up.

A piece will not snap in, even though it looks right.

On Medium and Advanced a piece only fits when it is the right way up. Tap it to turn it a quarter turn at a time and try again.

Ads and privacy

Why was I asked about tracking?

The app shows ads, and iOS asks your permission before an advertiser can use your device's advertising identifier. Choosing Ask App Not to Track is completely fine — you still get the whole app, and ads simply become less personalised.

Where do the puzzle pictures come from?

They are photographs of real jigsaw puzzles, assembled and photographed by the developer's sister, then straightened out so only the artwork remains.
