Privacy Policy

Summary

HOP! 8-Bit is a retro arcade game. We do not create an account for you, we do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or contacts, and we do not track who you are. The only personal information the app itself stores is your high score, and that stays on your device. Third-party advertising by Google AdMob collects some device-level information for the purpose of showing ads, as described below.

Information we collect

Directly by the app:

• High score. Stored locally in UserDefaults. Never transmitted off your device.
• App usage state. Which round you are on, whether the game is running, etc. Not stored, not transmitted.

By Google AdMob (our advertising partner): When we show an interstitial ad between games, Google AdMob may collect:

• An advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS) — only if you grant permission via the App Tracking Transparency prompt.
• Approximate location derived from IP address.
• Device model and iOS version.
• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks).

Google uses this information to serve, personalize, and measure ads. Their privacy policy is at https://policies.google.com/privacy. We never see or receive personally identifiable information from AdMob — only aggregate reporting.

What we do not collect

• We do not collect your name, email, address, phone number, or contacts.
• We do not use analytics SDKs beyond AdMob's built-in reporting.
• We do not share, sell, or rent any information.
• We do not track you across other apps or websites ourselves.

Children

HOP! 8-Bit is a general-audience arcade game. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your choices

• Ad personalization. Choose "Ask App Not to Track" in the iOS prompt to receive non-personalized ads.
• Reset advertising identifier. iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
• Delete high score. Delete the app from your device — all local storage is removed.

Data retention

Local data (high score) persists until you delete the app. Ad-related data retention is governed by Google's policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top reflects the most recent change.
